TV Series review: 4 more shots please
What I like:
- women leads, good friends - honest, upfront and open with each other
- Make bold choices. Not afraid to call off weddings or indulge in affairs if they wanted it.
- No sob stories or sub-plots that go big on morals, guilt, revenge or other such crap.
- Friends are accepting of each others strengths and flaws. Call it out but let people make and learn from their mistakes.
- everyone looks good
- Thin, fat, married, widowed, straight, gay - all are welcome
- standup comedy scenes are original
What I don’t like:
- Friendship doesn’t require or mandate drinking together all the time.
- The main problem in their lives is love. No depth beyond that.
- Focus on ignoring or forgetting issues instead of handling them
- The career oriented ppl do not stand up to sexism enough - eg. Anjana just ignores and walks out of her chauvinist boss without calling him out. Dee stays silent when that gynec dude asks her to move to Singapore and assumes a Yes. Umang needed an entire season to realize that Samara was self centered
What I wondered:
- How do people have so much free time!?
- How is everyone so rich, good looking and so well put together?
- The mom has time to be a superstar lawyer, have an affair, meet her friends regularly and be a great mom?
- Looks like the balance will be skewed if atleast one got into a stable relationship. Will their friendship survive that?
